Letsch continues legacy with Angels title win
Sisters Maryann McMahon, Agnes Johnson and Sharon Simon circled the gold basketball that sat in front of a podium Tuesday in the John Foster auditorium at St. Catherine’s High School, 1200 Park Ave.
The three leaders of the Racine Dominicans wanted to get a closer look at the trophy the Angels boys basketball team brought home over the weekend. This is their school and they are proud of what the boys accomplished.
They prayed and cheered on Saturday as they listened to the WIAA Division 3 championship game from Madison where the Angels won their fourth state title in five years.

We're proud of both teams
Racine was denied its storybook ending at the state basketball championships last weekend.
We had hoped for twin trophies — it would have marked only the second time in WIAA boys state basketball championship history that teams from one city had collected two titles.
But it was not to be.

Steve McWhorter will be back next season to try and keep an incredible run going for the St. Catherine’s High School boys basketball team.
The question is, will Bob Letsch be back as the Angels’ coach? The short answer is quite possibly, but not definitely.
